Yi Shou Jiu (Danggui Liqueur)
Danggui is often called the ''Queen
of Herbs'' as compared to ''King of Herbs'' for ginseng. The main
ingredient in our Yi Shou Jiu is
Danggui. Danggui in Chinese also
mean ''Proper Order'' since it has the
ability to regulate bodily
functions. In the early 14th to 15th
centuries, the Europeans also named
it ''Angelica'' in honour of the angel
who appeared in the dream of a monk
who told him about the curative
power of the herb. The herb was used
to combat the Bubonic plague or
''Black Death'' in Europe. Since then,
the prescription was well documented
by the College of Physicians in
1665. In America, Danggui was
popularly used by Native Americans
for the treatment of various
diseases. Danggui contains vitamins
A, B12, E and essential oils such as
phellandrens, alpha pirene,
limonene, osthol, angelicin,

ingredients contained in Danggui
